Own dear Wify,
I have had much difficulty in getting
my letter off to Mr. Meyers. So many things would interfere.
But God has allowed me to send the answer,
a copy of which you find enclosed. I must trust to God, he knows what is
right. Certainly I have been finding obstacles in the way of writing that
letter. All I can say is I leave it to my heavenly Father. Wify will pray
for hubby.
If you could see hubby just as it is down
here, you would not be otherwise than able to see him it is. Love own hubby
& tell me just exactly what you think about my letter. Pray for me &
love me dearly. I must put this in the mail. Own dear loving hubby.
I sent my letter yesterday. If Mr. Meyers
don't get, you can hand him your copy, after waiting a reasonable time, say
five days or as you see fit. Do what you see fit.
[Note written on back of envelope containing Frank Hall's letter to Fanny Hall, Feb. 21st, 1863:]
Some of my thoughts for my husband, if he thinks it best to send them before he decides & replies to Mr. B. I have written them for I promised but I would not influence you if I could. My God above must, my husband.
